It's here! It's here! Friday Song.

Oh my god I thought this day would never come. It's been a long, long, LONG week. And (thank you ATL) it's beautiful today. I'm so excited to blow this popsicle stand (work) and get out on the town (take a nap).  As per Friday tradition, here are five things we should all be thinking about:

via Southern Living

1. King Cake! This Tuesday is of the fat variety- it's Fat Tuesday. True story- in high school I was VP of the French Club, because of course (c'est vraiment) and for Mardi Gras we had a party. I attempted to make King Cake. It was disgusting and also, I got the baby which I'm pretty sure is bad luck when you get your own King Cake Baby. Don't know what the story behind King Cake is? Mosey your way over to Wikipedia for some Friday morning education. Here, I'll even give you a link! Once you've read up on the topic, I found a recipe that looks pretty solid on Southern Living though- so get on it!

2. In the spirit of Mardi Gras- how about some nice purple shoes, that are super affordable? I would probably give up my right foot to have one of these on my left foot (coincidentally, that would be the only way I could afford them- to buy one).

3. This is THE BEST website I've come across in awhile. It's all soundbites from the best album of all time, Beyonce. The ! and "I Woke Up Like Dis" are my favorites, naturally.

4. SXSW kicks off next week and I'm so sad I'm not going to be in attendance this year. It's kind of my annual "I miss working in radio" time of year. I honestly don't think I could go as a "normal person" because what would be fun about waiting in lines and not having VIP entry to every B.E.T show ever? Oh my former life, you were so entertaining/ironic. Also I was in Austin last weekend for Lauren's bachelorette party so I probably don't need to make a return trip anyway. But for those of you who ARE going I AM SO JEALOUS.

I can't even with this.

5. The Hinge party last night was hilarious. Mal and I met this guy, "a local Atlanta celebrity" and "national treasure" (his words, not mine). You can't see it, but there are sparkly threads in his shirt. If you're looking for a hilarious, but probably solid, workout in Atlanta, go ahead and look up Fitness With Jeff. (Jeff, if you're reading this- can I please re-do your website? It needs a little loving...) Maybe he'll let you borrow his shirt...

Happy Friday all! Make sure to link up above.
