London: Round II

Good day to you, Westminster Abbey

I don't know how much of this got covered in the news in the US yesterday, since I'm sure football or something equally important was on (just kidding, I have Facebook. Go Auburn and Michigan State, or whatever), but all of the airports in London got flipping SLAMMED yesterday. Thanks so some sort of "glitch" that I, nor (at the time) my pilot father could really determine, all of London's airports were in complete shenanigans- and if you read the article I linked, you'll see that Heathrow was hit the hardest. And guess who flew through Heathrow on the way home from Brussels? THIS GIRL.  Although- I am not considering this bad luck whatsoever. I mean, having to wait around the airport for six hours after my flight to Atlanta sailed away without me was less than enjoyable, but since the airports are all in such shambles, I can't fly out for another day. I could pretend to be sad but HELLO. Day trip to London, my second favorite city behind Paris!  The Eurotrip that I wanted to happen, that led to me living solo (and therefore not getting to Eurotrip) is happening SO THERE.  This is so Eat, Pray, Love (why do I keep referencing this movie/book which i have never seen/read) of me. This is nothing but the best of personal victories. Things haven't been that wonderful on a personal level for me lately, but today I am very grateful for my crazy, ridiculous, interesting, amazing life.

And since it's Sunday- how about a little Sunday Social Time?
This Weeks Questions:
1. What is the wallpaper on your cell phone? My wallpaper is usually some kind of animal, but I like my lock screen to be something a little less awkward, because I'm in work meetings a lot. Currently, I'm using this, which is a card from the Mindy Kalling game: Questions I Ask When I Want To Talk About Myself

so classy it's crooked
2. What do you keep beside your bed? My phone and ipad because they're NOT the same thing. Also- a plastic cup of water because the cat will (and has) knocked over many a glass. Cleaning up glass at 4am is not enjoyable, even when he is cute.

Seriously, how can you be mad at that? And also, word to my girl Lilly Pulitzer for making melamine cups!
3. What is your least favorite chore? Taking out the trash. I HATE IT SO MUCH. This is a man's job. Yep, I said it. So if I could hire a man to come take out my trash, that would be grand.
4. If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine, what would it be? Everything. I am the laziest human being in existence (no I'm not- but in the morning it pretty much takes the five horsemen of the apocalypse to drag me out of bed). I want to say mascara, because it is my one MUST HAVE. But I also LOVE mascara and I'd be sad for it to go bye bye.
5. What do you do to vent anger? Duh, Snapchat.
6. What is your favorite holiday of the year and why? Easter because I have to be different, and I love rodents.

And now, I'm off to gab with Kate Middelton, and probably brush each other's hair. Follow me on Insta (@julieloven) if you want to see the sights, too!

Cheers, friends!

  1. Have fun in London. I can't imagine the chaos that glitch would cause in many airports, let alone a mega airport like Heathrow.
