Erhmagerhd It's Fridyah

The best day of the week has arrived! I have a busy weekend planned- Julie and I are driving down to Valdosta tomorrow to meet my aunts and pick up my child, Stedman. He's coming home from college, a smarter, worldlier pig. Seriously though, Stedman has lived in three different states now, and been on a road trip through the midwest. I'm pretty sure he's more well travelled than 3/4 of my high school graduating class. Driving to South Georgia is always quite the treat. Strippers, bible billboards, sketchy rest stops, peaches, and PE-CANS. Everything you could need in a road trip. And since Lauren is in town, I get to have a little dinner date with my former roomie on Saturday night :). I'm getting in as much Lauren time as possible before she ships back off to Japan for three years. On that note- here are my Friday Five, kids:

1. As we all know I have a small obsession with C. Wonder shoes. They have THE BEST sales. Lauren's wedding is coming up in two weeks (omgggg) and I have had my eye on these for awhile now. Today I got an email that all shoes are 30% off so you can bet yourself I immediately purchased them. My bridesmaid dress is long, and I need the ultimate in comfort when busting a move. Plus my tiny little bride friend is MAYBE 5 feet tall so I feel no need to rock heels. But seriously, go buy some shoes because there are a ton of cute ones right now and spring is right around the corner (god willing).

2. March Madness- The only time I care about college sports has arrived! Yet another example of how I'm an anomaly in the south: I could not care less about the SEC. Sorry guys. I grew up in a state without a singular Pro sports team, and I went to a University without a football team. But hello- 1963 NCAA basketball champs. 2014 is our year! Just kidding, but I have high hopes for 2017. GO RAMBLERS!

3. My friend Tess gave me this book for Christmas and I finally got around to reading it. You know how you have those friends that you don't get to talk to nearly enough, and then they just come out of the woodwork and you remember how perfect they are? Until a year ago, I NEVER considered myself an introvert. Obviously in the past four months I've been finding out a lot about myself, and reading this book REALLY brought up some interesting thoughts. Tess, you know me better than I know myself. Even if you're a super loud, obnoxious, completely extroverted member of the Jersey Shore cast, I think anyone can get something from this book, whether it's a better understanding of themselves, or those around them. Maybe then people will understand that JUST BECAUSE IM QUIET DOESNT MEAN IM MEAN- IT MEANS IM SHY SO BACK OFF ALRIGHT? GET OUT OF MY FACE.

4. In the last few months, I've gotten seriously addicted to hot yoga. This will be hilarious to anyone who knew me in college, because I was basically the biggest hater of anything related to Bikram. Maybe it's because it's cold, maybe it's because I finally realized I just can't be a runner...I don't know what it is, but sweating for a solid 80 minutes is totally worth it for that 7 ish minute shavasana and euphoric feeling after the fact. Seriously- namaste bitches. Because I go to a hoity yoga studio, I'm always super jealous of the cute outfits everyone's rocking while I'm wearing my high school Abercrombie and Fitch wife beaters.... can someone give me $80 to spend on these adorable pants? Thanks.

5. This is shaping up to be the year of travel, and I could not be more pleased. Here are a couple of places on the agenda in the next few months:

Chicago
Belgium (and somewhere else. Germany? Austria? Netherlands?)
Nashville
Nasvhille again
Chicago again
South of France
Japan

I will have no money, but that's the furthest thing from my worries at this point. Travel > money.

Happy Friday, Friends! I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

xoxo
