Happy Monday! Since it's the beginning of a long week, I thought I'd introduce you to the other man in my life. Stedman and I have been together since my senior year of college. One day, someone at work walked around with a picture of baby guinea pigs asking if anyone wanted to adopt one. I'd always had pets growing up, and I have a soft spot for rodents. Seriously, I used to talk to the rats in the laundry room in a particularly sketchy apartment while I was washing clothes. Yes, I'm a freak. So anyway, when I noticed that one of them was chubbier than the rest with a mohawk, I decided to bring him home. Here is Stedman's bio, in his own words (squeaks):
I'm a guinea pig. Not a hamster, gerbil, or
squirrel. I have an affinity for seasonal outfits, modeling, and organic
carrots. I refuse to eat generic brand food, to the chagrin of my
owner/personal assistant. She tried to make me eat it once, and I pooped in my
food dish. She is powerless against me. I used to live in a small cage in wood
shavings, but I have since been upgraded to a large Rubbermaid container with
recycled soft paper bedding, because my paws are sensitive. I spend most of my
time in my Pigloo, eating orchard grass. Most rodents eat hay, but it's cheaper
than orchard grass, and I have champagne tastes. Some people think that I was
named after Oprah's significant other, Stedman Graham, because I was born at
Harpo studios, but he was actually named after me. Make no mistake. I like to
be brushed twice a day, and I was once featured on Cheezburger.
