The current state of my nails is so offensive. Honestly, I went to visit my 90 year old Grandmother today, and she was basically horrified. I mean, this is a woman who gets up every. Single. Morning. and puts on her lipstick, regardless of if she is doing anything that day or not. She is, in fact, my hero. So now that it's the holiday season, it's officially time to step up my holiday (and hygiene) game, and get my festive nails on.
There is nothing better than an excuse to give oneself a manicure (or go get a mani-pedi) than a party, a workday, or basically, living. Everyone I work with can assess my stress level by checking the state of my nails. If they are a different color every day, it is in fact, a terrible week. Painting my nails (aside from xanax) is the best stress reliever out there.
Enter: Red Carpet Manicure's new "A Touch of Bling" collection. Red Carpet Manicure is one of the first at home gel manicure systems, which is awesome because gel manicures are so dang expensive. The best part of this collection is the ridiculous amount of holiday friendly colors. In Florida, celebrating Thanksmukkah with your Jewish relatives, like myself? Bust out the "Sapphire and Ice" duo. Getting ready for your Holiday work extravaganza? "Holiday Soiree Red-y" is my favorite, as red is basically my signature nail color. Finally, getting ready for some New Year's boozing? What matches champagne better than the golden "I'll Toast to That".
If you are poor from Black Friday shopping, or in my case, life, mosey your way on over to the Red Carpet Facebook Page and enter the 2013 Holiday Collection "A Touch of Bling" sweepstakes. Just "like" the Red Carpet page, and select your favorite color from the Holiday collection to enter to win. There could literally be nothing easier, even when you're in a Tryptophan/Manischewitz haze.
Even if you don't win, you can pick up some of this great polish on the Red Carpet Manicure site , and I highly recommend that you do. And when you do, please tweet/insta me pictures of your holiday nails. I know everyone's all, "I'm so over your nails on Instagram" but I will NEVER be. So keep 'em coming.
Now go back and eat some leftover mashed potatoes. I know you want to.
Until next time.
