So as you know, I've been whining about the weather in Atlanta for oh, I don't know, the past four months. This weekend is the kickoff of football season and I'm not a real southerner and could care less about college football (YES I SAID IT!). Since J's job is selling beer, he's kind of invested in the college football scene, and also he is a male and loves sports. All of them (minus hockey thank God). But that said, when the long weekend loomed ahead and all I saw was rain and being dragged to many a bar to watch SEC teams I don't care about (I SAID IT AGAIN!). It wasn't looking good. So when my ATL BFF Mal said she was driving home to Richmond for the weekend I was all:
OMG LET'S ALL GO! ROADTRIP AHHHH
So at 2pm today, Mal and I will be embarking on a great southern adventure- driving through Georgia, North Carolina, and finally winding up in Richmond eight hours later. I'm thinking we'll do a dinner stop in Charlotte- any suggestions?
I haven't been to the great state of VA in years. I spent a lot of time there in college, because my college boyfriend was from the DC suburbs. I have really grown to love the east coast over the years, and I'm excited for a girls weekend, too. One of my best friends from high school, Leigh, lives there, and I can't wait to see her face. Considering the last picture we were in together I was 16, it's time to rectify that situation. Was anybody cute at 16? Ugh.
