Changes and a Challenge

So as much as I was enjoying my former blog theme, it didn't really feel like ME.  Let's face it, I'm not a southern belle (but I can try!) and I've never lived in the prairies of Illinois.  I went to the suburbs like, once.  So after careful thought, the new theme was born:

The Jort Report is still a lifestyle blog- just with a hint of sarcasm and a bit of snark.  I love clothes, and even more so, I love making fun of clothes.  Be warned now: If you willingly wear madras, I will take a picture and send it to everyone I know.  And maybe post it on this blog.

On a different note, I stumbled across the Blog Every Day In May challenge, and it's raining this weekend, so I'm going to play catch up.

 Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it: 

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with Jim Henson. I truly believe he was the most creative soul that has ever lived.  I love this quote because it shows, not only how humble he was, but it's such a good reminder to us that, by following our passions, we really can make the world a better place.  He's been gone almost 25 years, and the Muppet Workshop is still creating revolutionary entertainment, educating children and adults alike. If you ever have some free time, researching his background is completely worth it. So much thought has gone into his great works, and I know his legacy will never die.
