This weekend was SO much fun- too much fun! I'm absolutely exhausted today and already dreaming about climbing back into bed the second I get home from work. Thanks to BF's job, we are really lucky to be able to attend a lot of great events happening in Atlanta.
Since the Men's Final Four is in Atlanta this year, of course we had to go. Basketball is my absolute favorite sport (just one more way I'm not a real southerner...football, meh) and I was pulling hard for Syracuse! Somehow we wound up with awesome seats RIGHT behind the Michigan student section, so that was a little intimidating. I was bummed when they lost at the last second, but it was so much fun to be there and experience everything. I can't even talk about the Witchita State/Lousiville game. That was a heartbreaker. Let's just say I'm hoping blue pulls out a win this year.
Opening festivities!
Of course I also had to rep my own colors at the event- Loyola Ramblers, 1963 national champs baby! Someday we'll be back!
Sunday, since we hadn't had enough sports viewing, we headed to the Braves vs. Cubs game. It was awesome seeing all of the Cubbies fans roaming around the stadium- I felt like I was at home!
Turner field is awesome. Obviously nothing will ever beat Wrigley Field, but it was really fun! BF and I couldn't wear our Cubs gear because our seats were in the Braves employee section, but we still tried to sneak in some Cubs color.
As seemed to be the case all weekend, the team I was rooting for lost, but it was still a great time. We ended Sunday by taking a nice walk over to Piedmont Park, having an early dinner at the Nook, and passing out at 10pm. Hope everyone else had an amazing weekend!
xoxo
