The Kentucky Derby is the whitest event imaginable

Some college friends of mine have a ridiculous coach house in Lakeview, and they have the best parties. Every year they have a Kentucky Derby party which obvi, I love, because it's an excuse to dress up really fancy. And wear a ridiculous hat. It's weird attending parties there now, because we've been doing it since college. Only now we all have jobs and are real adults, so the alcohol and dresses get more expensive. Forever 21 has become Anthropologie, and Early Times has become Dewar's. AND this year, they really went all out and hired a pianist. Who, by the way, couldn't play the peanuts theme. I mean, really? It was nice to see old friends (and bring some new!).
